Join CYL's Central Denver Chapter for an Inclusive Hiking Event
Led by CYL students in the Central Denver Chapter, this hike is for those with limited hiking experience, and want to try something new! There can be dozens of barriers prevent youth from accessing outdoor opportunities and the mental and physical benefits from time spent outside. This hike, created and led by high school students, seeks to address this inaccessibility at the local level and provide a safe environment for new hikers. In addition to hiking, you will also learn how to navigate and take care of the outdoor environment around you.
What to Expect:
- Transportation provided and meet at South High School
- Hike together at Mt. Falcon Park
- Help keep the trail clean!
- Learn hiking basics and environmental education like Leave No Trace, navigation and environmental protection
- Snacks and fun times!
This event is open to families and all ages are encouraged to join!
CYL is partnering with Big City Mountaineers to provide this opportunity for CYLers with limited hiking experience
