* CYL Service Adventure *
Join us for Lake Appreciation Day at Cherry Creek State Park! Join Cherry Creek State Park staff, volunteers and other community members to work together to clean up the park! These projects usually consist of a shoreline clean up of trash, debris and fishing lines and/or cutting invasive Mullein weeds that are prevalent throughout the park.
The service project portion is open to everyone and usually runs from around 8:00AM to 12:00PM. After the service project is lunch provided to volunteers by the park (12:00 PM-1:00PM). Cherry Creek State Park is a special ecosystem with lots of plants and wildlife close to the city and it needs some love to keep it beautiful!
CYL's COVID Protocols (as of 5/18/21)
- If you have been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days, it is your choice if you would like to wear a mask. If you are not fully vaccinated, we ask you to continue wearing your mask
- This opportunity is outdoors and we still recommend staying 6' feet from each other
- If you are in need of transportation to this opportunity, please contact Hayley for a ride. CYL has updated its transportation policies to allow CYL Staff to transport students
- If you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who tested positive in the last 14 days, please DO NOT ATTEND
- Sanitizer and hand washing stations will be provided and participants are still encouraged to wash hands often.
