Monthly events in Thornton and Aurora!

Are you a high school student interested in meeting cool CU scientists and exploring exciting topics in STEM through engaging activities? Do you like free food? If the answers to those questions are yes and yes, consider joining one of Science Discovery's upcoming Teen Science Cafés in Thornton or Aurora!

Teen Science Cafés are free, youth-led programs that connect CU scientists with local teens in fun, informal settings. Youth leaders are charged with organizing monthly events, including inviting and training scientists to share their stories through hands-on activities and engaging discussion. To maintain a youth-centered space, the events are restricted to students currently in high school.

For January’s cafe, join Dr. Meredith Tennis of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus as she leads hands-on activities related to her research in lung cancer prevention. Learn more about cancer research by using some of the same models, equipment, and techniques from her lab. No prior knowledge needed, just curiosity! There will also be complimentary food and drinks. Open to any student currently in high school. This program will be hosted in English. Registration recommended.
