Join CYL at Multicultural Family Nights!
As a BONUS Impact in Action for our Immigration and Citizenship Leadership Circle, we will be volunteering in-person with Community Resources Inc at their Multicultural Family Nights! Use this opportunity to connect with families in our community and create fun and creative spaces for folks of all ages.
Duties Include:
- Checking families in
- Setting up, serving, cleanup of pizza/ lemonade
- Directing families
- Connecting with families through conversation
What you’ll do in the Leadership Circle
Session 1: Cause Connect with Casa de Paz
Hear from community leaders and organizations doing the work. You’ll learn what’s happening in our community and how getting involved can make a real difference for you and others. This session, we will hear from Casa de Paz, an organization that welcomes guests who are released from the immigration detention center in Aurora, CO. Casa de Paz provides them a safe temporary space to go to so they can connect with their loved ones and make travel arrangements on to their final destination.
Session 2: Impact in Action
Get out into the community and serve with a local organization. You’ll experience how taking action, working with others, and giving back can build connection, purpose, and positive change for the communities we’re part of.
