Description

4th Annual Immigrant Impact Summer Program with Convivir is gearing up for an incredible summer!

About the summer program
Convivir engages 6-12th grade youth impacted by migration in storytelling and art-based activities from June 20th through July 20th. At the end of the program, students better understand themselves and their community through the lens of migration, learn how migration impacts identity, media, and policy, build a friend group of others with similar experiences, and leave a mark on their community.

What this actually looks like
We host 12 full days of FREE programming on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, in person in Denver at Graland Country Day School. These days feature whole-group community builders and small group discussions that weave a lot of art in (think drawing, painting, poetry, storytelling, etc)! Students also work collaboratively on a community project. In the past, they've executed a virtual concert, a mobile art installation, and a mural in Five Points!

Who is eligible
All upcoming 6th graders through recent 12th grade high school graduates who are immigrants, refugees, or first generation Americans from any nationality and with any immigration status. Yes, that means we serve more than just Latinx!
