CYL is currently accepting designs for a youth-led mural to be implemented on Saturday, September 24th! The mural will be painted on a storage container like this for Kaizen Food Rescue, a refugee-run food rescue aiming to prevent food waste and improve justice and health equity.
Designs should include one or more of the the following themes: fresh food, healthy food, gardens, community, spectrum of people (race, age, nationality, gender, etc.).
Designs do not have to be created alone! We allow partner and group submissions. Submissions should be from youth, up to age 25. Design submissions will be accepted until the end of the day August 31, 2022. Submit your designs to CYL Program Director, Lauren Steavpack at lauren@coloradoyoungleaders.org.
The individual or team whose design is selected will be able to work with other youth to see their vision come to life! This person or group will be able to take a leadership role in implementing the design on the mural painting day!
