Apply for the Medical Career Collaborative!
ABOUT: MC2 is a health careers pathway program designed to provide youth, starting in high school, the opportunity to gain experience and exposure to the world of healthcare and access to ongoing support in their pursuit of healthcare professions.
Applications are due by 5pm MST Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
In order to apply to the program students must:
- currently be a sophomore in high school
- attend high school in the Denver metro or Colorado Springs area
- be eligible to work in the US
The program requires a two-year commitment with students participating in activities during both their junior and senior year. Program activities include:
- monthly medical field trips/workshops/trainings
- an internship at Denver Health or one of the following Children’s Hospital Colorado locations: Anschutz (Aurora), North (Broomfield), South (Highlands Ranch), or Colorado Springs
- participation in weekly seminar sessions (during the internship part of the program)
- mentoring
- mini health related certifications
- and college and career coaching
The MC2 program operates at Children’s Hospital Colorado (at the Anschutz, North, South, and Colorado Springs campuses) and Denver Health. At this time we have ONE central application that covers all MC2 program sites. Students may indicate a site preference but the MC2 administrative team will determine where selected students are placed.
