You deserve to be able to afford health coverage AND you deserve food assistance if you need it. And at the end of the day, our country can afford both.
As we set a record for the longest government shutdown, the Trump administration is attempting to stop SNAP payments (even though the courts said to pay up), and Congress continues to NOT come to agreement on health insurance tax credits that make premiums affordable for millions of young people. They shouldn’t be pitting health care against SNAP benefits. They should be funding both.
Send a virtual postcard to Congress asking them to end the shutdown, fund SNAP, and extend the health care credits.
