 This page contains scholarship information for high school students who are considering their post-graduate plans. Scholarships are organized based on the following categories:

We believe that all CYLers are eligible for at least one of these scholarships, especially those specific to community, service, and leadership––We encourage you to apply! 

A note on letters of recommendation: CYL Staff is happy to write a letter of recommendation for you! Please request letters at least two weeks prior to the date you need them, and provide the following information:

  • Deadline for the scholarship
  • Link to platform for submission (if applicable)
  • What attributes or characteristics you would like your letter to emphasize (ex: your communication skills, your leadership development, your teamwork, etc.)
  • An example of your participation in a CYL opportunity

Colorado-Specific Scholarships

Boettcher Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • Be a graduating Colorado high school senior who has lived in Colorado for your junior and senior years of high school, and
  • Be a citizen, legal permanent resident, or lawfully present (including through Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA))  in the United States

OR

  • Meet the requirements and have applied or started the process of applying for citizenship, legal status or lawful presence. (Although students can be in the application process for citizenship, legal status or lawful presence during the Boettcher selection timeframe, in order to become a Boettcher Scholar, you must provide documentation that shows you have successfully completed the process.)

Amount: The Boettcher Scholarship covers the cost of a scholar’s tuition, fees and books for eight semesters/12 quarters at approved Colorado four-year universities or colleges. Additionally, Boettcher Scholars also receive a living stipend.

Burg Simpson College Scholarship Program

Burg Simpson recognizes the importance of access to a good education. In 2012, they launched the Burg Simpson Scholarship Competition. 

Each year Burg Simpson encourages Colorado high school seniors from across the state to write a 1,500-word essay about the importance of the civil jury system as the guardian of American rights and liberties.

Eligibility: Any graduating high school senior enrolled in a Colorado accredited school can enter.

Amount: $1,500

Partner Colorado Foundation Scholarships

The Partner Colorado Foundation’s scholarship program offers grant money to individuals to enable them to pursue a degree in the field of their choice at an accredited educational institution. Applicants may be high school seniors or current undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens residing principally in the State of Colorado.

 

Amount: $1,000

Deadline: April 29, 2024

First Generation Scholarship - CU-Boulder

The First Generation Grant is awarded to undergraduate Colorado residents who have financial need and whose parent(s) or legal guardians do not have a bachelor's degree.

This scholarship applies to students who attend University of Colorado-Boulder.

Amount: Up to $32,000 ($4,000/year for CO residents; $8,000/year for non-residents)

Student-View Scholarship

The Student-View Scholarship is a unique opportunity for high school seniors, and is open to all students regardless of academic achievement or financial need. Simply complete a survey about Colorado local colleges, and you will be automatically entered into a random drawing for a scholarship award. 

Amount: $5,000, $1,000, or $500

M.R. Hellie Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to high school seniors attending an accredited Colorado high school who are applying for or have been accepted for admission to a college or university.

This scholarship honors high school seniors attending an accredited Colorado high school who are applying for and planning to attend the University of Colorado Boulder.

Aurora Gives Scholarship

The Aurora Gives Scholars program was created to provide select graduating high school seniors with debt-free access to an Associate Degree from the Community College of Aurora (CCA). The Scholarship will fund the cost of tuition, books and fees through completion of an Associate Degree at CCA, and provide students with a Chromebook, providing they forego federal loans during their enrollment in the program.

Scholarship covers tuition, books, and fees for completing an Associate's degree in 2 years.

Prudential Emerging Visionaries 2023 Awards 

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the largest youth recognition program in the U.S. based exclusively on volunteer community service. Created in 1995 by Prudential and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the program honors high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state and national level. 

Eligibility

  • be in grades 5-12 as of November 10, 2021
  • be a legal resident of any U.S. state or Washington, D.C.
  • have engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred during the 12 months prior to the date of the application

Amount: $1,000+

Deadline: November 2, 2023; Candidates notified February 2024.

Greenhouse Scholars Application

Our vision is to create a community of leaders who will evolve the communities of the world. We work with the next generation of leaders and change agents, and together change the trajectory of their families, their communities, and broader global communities.

Eligibility

  • Be a graduating high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a legal resident of Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, or North Carolina
  • Have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Demonstrate financial need (annual household income no greater than $70,000)
  • Possess excellent leadership skills, an ability to persevere through difficult circumstances, and a strong interest in and commitment to their community

Amount: $20,000

Applications Process: Applications open on September 1, 2023, consists of four rounds.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program 

Honoring the legacy and character of our nation’s 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education. 

Eligibility:

  • demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
  • demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
  • be citizens of the United States of America;
  • be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and homeschooled students are also eligible); and
  • plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

Amount: $10,000 yearly

Equitable Excellence Scholarship

Equitable Excellence award winners come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, but are united by their drive, determination, and strong character. Applicants to the Equitable Excellence Scholarship must:

  • Demonstrate courage, strength and wisdom as shown by community impact through volunteer service
  • Be high school seniors planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Be a United States citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.

Amount: $2,500 or $20,000 (4 annual $5,000 scholarships)

Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship

The Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship Program honors young volunteers who are dedicated to serving veterans. Each year, one outstanding applicant receives the top scholarship in the amount of $20,000 to help fund their higher education. In addition, the top winner and parent receives an expense-paid trip to DAV National Convention to receive the award and be recognized for their dedication and commitment to veterans. Additional scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $15,000, $10,000, $7,500 & $5,000. 

Scholarships can be awarded to any volunteer who is age 21 or younger and has volunteered for a minimum of 100 hours at a VA medical center.  Volunteer hours can accumulate over time and must be credited to the Disabled American Veterans.

Amount: $5,000+ (up to $30,000)

Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund

The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund aids people active in movements for social and economic justice. These need-based scholarships are awarded to students who are able to do academic work at the college or university level or are enrolled in a trade or technical program and who are active in the progressive movement. 

Applicants must have participated in activities in the US, and there is a strong preference for applicants who plan on working in this country.

Amount: Up to $15,000

Deadline: Application opened January 1, 2024; Due April 1, 2024

Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

The Barron Prize welcomes applications from public-spirited young people who are, on our April 15 deadline:

  • between the ages of 8 and 18 (not yet age 19)
  • permanent residents of and currently residing in the U.S.A. or Canada
  • currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months
  • working as an individual to lead their service work

Amount: $10,000

Deadline: April 15, 2024

APIA Scholarship Program

Eligibility

  • Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status;
  • Are the first in their families to attend college;
  • Are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity; and
  • Have placed a strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement.

Amount: $2,500+ (up to $20,000)

Elks National Scholarship Program 

Most Valuable Student

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2021 competition. Male and female students compete separately.

Eligibility

  • Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States.
  • Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Amount: $1,000+ (up to $12,500)

Imagine America Foundation Program

The Foundation works with more than 20,000 high school guidance counselors across the country. Graduating high school seniors who meet the recommended guidelines are eligible to receive a $1,000 tuition discount that can be used at career colleges participating in the Imagine America Scholarship Program throughout the nation.

Eligibility: Only recent high school graduates who meet the following recommended guidelines should apply:

  • Likelihood of successful completion of postsecondary education
  • High school grade point average of 2.5 or greater
  • Financial need
  • Demonstrated voluntary community service during senior year

Amount: $1,000

The NHS Scholarship

Senior members of an active National Honor Society chapter who are in good standing are eligible to apply for an NHS Scholarship.

Amount: $3,200+

Deadline: Application opens September 18, 2023; closes November 30, 2023.

The Bonner Program

The Bonner Program provides a scholarship to students in exchange for weekly commitment to intensive and meaningful service with a local community organization over the four years as an undergraduate student with our campus partners. In addition to their service, Bonner students engage in trainings on leadership development and social justice topics in an effort to encourage students to become aware of how the problems and issues of their communities influence their service work and public policy.

Civitas Community Foundation Scholarship

The Civitas Foundation scholarship program offers $10,000 for one yer to be applied at an accredited 2 or 4 year higher education program. This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and there is no minimum GPA requirement, although applicants must have demonstrated leadership skill, community involvement, and a commitment to educational excellence. 

Eligibility: 

  • Only available to seniors currently attending school.
  • Must be a high school within Weld, Adams, Broomfield, Larimer, Boulder, or Morgan counties. 
  • Must be pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited 2 or 4 year institution.
  • Must have strong commitment to community improvement.
  • Demonstrate leadership and integrity.
  • Current Civitas employees and their immediate families are not eligible to apply.

Amount: $10,000

Deadline: March 15, 2024.

 

Identity and Experience Based Scholarships

Ron Brown Scholarship

The Ron Brown Scholarship honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans. RBSP competitively awards Ron Brown Scholars four-year $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the most talented and economically-challenged high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship – the four pillars of the late Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.

Eligibility: 

  • Must be Black/African American
  • Must excel academically
  • Must exhibit exceptional leadership potential
  • Must participate in community service activities
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card
  • Be a current high school senior at the time of your application

Amount: $10,000 each year ($40,000 total)

Latin American Educational Foundation Scholarship

The Latin American Educational Foundation (LAEF) has established itself as a leader in meeting the higher educational needs of Hispanic students in Colorado. LAEF focuses on providing Hispanic and Latino students access to higher education. 

Eligibility

  • All Colorado residents - regardless of U.S. permanent legal residency status or U.S citizenship
  • Hispanic origin or actively involved in the Hispanic community
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative on a weighted GPA scale of high school or college
  • High school seniors, college undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply

Amount: $3,000

Deadline: March 1, 2024.

USPAACC Scholarship

USPAACC, since its founding in 1984, has donated over two million dollars in scholarship benefits to exceptional high school students who are pursuing post-secondary education. The goal of the USPAACC Scholarship is to help students pursue their aspirations and be an inspiration for future generations of Asian Americans.

In addition to the scholarship, the winners will be asked to take part in virtual scholarship activities, more will be announced in the coming months.

Eligibility

  • At least 16 years of age at the time of application
  • A high school senior
  • Of Asian Pacific Island heritage (except for Bruce Lee Scholarship)
  • A citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Beginning full-time study at an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States in Fall 2021

Amount: 10-20 scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $5,000

Denver Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship

Each year the Denver Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., awards scholarships to deserving young women. Denver Alumnae Scholarship award amounts vary from $6,000 (awarded $1,500 per year over 4 years) to one time $1,500.00 scholarships. Awards are determined by academic scholarship, community service and a personal interview.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a Black/African American female
  • Be a resident of the Denver metropolitan area
  • Be a high school graduate, graduating senior from high school, or have earned a GED in either 2019 or 2020
  • Have applied to an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university, or technical school
  • Earned a minimum grade point average of:
    • 3.00 on a 4.00 scale for Denver Alumnae Chapter scholarships
    • 2.50 on a 4.0 scale for Gloria Travis Tanner scholarships
  • Not be a daughter of a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
  • Completed applications are due by Monday, February 8, 2021, Midnight.

Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship

The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship was established by Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker to encourage and support women-identified lesbians in their pursuit of higher education. Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient’s school and are applied toward tuition. Submissions are judged on:

  • Academic achievement
  • Outstanding community service and leadership
  • Commitment to impacting LGBTQ issues

Amount: $1500+

Deadline: 2024 Application will be available in Spring 2024. 

LEAGUE Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship

Applications are usually accepted from January through April. Decisions are usually made in July. The program is open to self-identified Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender graduating high school seniors meeting the prescribed criteria. Family members and mentors are encouraged to work with applicants to help ensure their submissions are complete.

The applicant must:

  • Be an openly self identified member of the LGBT Community
  • Be graduating from high school in the year he / she applies for a scholarship.
  • Prepare a detailed list of community involvement. “Extra-Credit” is given to those activities and leadership roles relating directly to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender communities.

Amount: eligible for multiple scholarship awards through single application

Diller Tikkun Olam Teen Awards

The Diller Tikkun Olam Awards honor Jewish teens who demonstrate leadership and engagement in projects that embody the values of tikkun olam, “repairing the world.” Up to 15 recipients will be awarded $36,000 each to further their project or for their education.

Eligibility

  • Teens (13–19 years old) living in the United States 
  • Self-identify as Jewish
  • Student is not compensated for their work. 
  • Eligible student projects may focus on the Jewish or general community.

Amount: $36,000, 15 awards available

Tall Clubs International Foundation Scholarship

Kae Sumner Einfeldt, founder of Tall Clubs International, Inc. had dreams of creating an organization that would promote causes that benefit tall people. In 1992, one of those dreams became a reality in the creation of the Tall Clubs International Foundation, Inc. 

Eligibility: Students under 21 years of age, about to attend their first year of higher education, and who meet the height requirements of TCI— 5' 10" (178 cm) for women, and 6' 2" (188 cm) for men.


Amount: $1,000

Pinnacol Foundation College Scholarship Program

We know that when a parent is seriously injured in an accident, life suddenly becomes a lot harder for the whole family. That’s why we created our scholarship program — to ensure that despite things beyond your control, you still have an opportunity to pursue your academic goals. Pinnacol Foundation scholarships may be used for four-year, two-year or trade programs at accredited colleges.

To be eligible for a Pinnacol Foundation scholarship, you must: 

  • Be the natural child, adopted child, stepchild or full dependent of a worker who was injured or killed in a compensable work-related accident during the course and scope of employment with a Colorado-based employer and was entitled to receive benefits under the Colorado Workers’ Compensation Act; 
  • Be between the ages of 16 and 25; 
  • Have a 2.0 GPA; 
  • And, have a high school diploma or GED, or be a high school senior.

Amount: $4,700

Coloradans for Nebraska

Eligibility

  • Must be a graduate of a Colorado High School
  • Enroll at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Kearney, Omaha or UNMC as a full time student for the entire 2023-2024 academic year (Fall and Spring semesters)
  • The application will have other items / requirements listed as each of the schools has different requirements that Co4NU must abide by.  

Amount: $2,000

Environmentalism and Climate Action

Ulteig Service Challenge: Renewable Energy Ambassador Awards

Ulteig is partnering with Humanity Rising to offer young people with an interest in renewable energy and sustainability the opportunity to earn a paid internship with Ulteig, a scholarship or funding for a local project within your community. 

All high schoolers are eligible to submit video or written demonstrations of their commitment to sustainability efforts.

Amount: Seniors are eligible for scholarships of $1,500-2,500, or paid internships with Ulteig Engineers. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are eligible to win $1,000 or funding for a local sustainability project.

Deadline: February 1, 2024.

Brower Youth Award for Environmental Leadership

Earth Island Institute established The Brower Youth Award for Environmental Leadership in 2000 to honor renowned environmental advocate David Brower, who was quoted as saying “I love to see what young people can do, before someone old tells them it’s impossible.” 

It is with this spirit that we recognize the outstanding leadership efforts of young people who are working for the protection of our shared planet. 

Amount: $3,000 + a professionally produced short film about their work from an Emmy award winning film crew, and flight and lodging accommodations for a week long trip to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Grossman Scholarships - Rewarding Outdoor Stewardship

The Grossman Scholarship Program helps make educational dreams possible for those who have demonstrated a commitment to caring for our environment's natural resources.

Eligibility:

  • Is a Colorado resident;
  • Has demonstrated a commitment to caring for our environment's natural resources within their personal, educational, and/or professional time. Ideally, students can show that they have volunteered with outdoor stewardship/environment organizations, such as VOC or other Colorado stewardship organizations or land agencies;
  • Is pursuing a degree program with an environmental, natural resource, climate, or outdoor industry emphasis at an accredited 4-year college/university, 2-year community college, or a certificate program offered by an accredited*** college/university within the state of Colorado; 
  • Must provide a copy of unofficial transcripts**** from their highest level of education completed.

Western Colorado
Horticultural Society Scholarship

 

The Western Colorado Horticultural Society (WCHS) funds up to a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student who is interested in pursuing a career in a horticulture-related industry. This scholarship is available to high school seniors and college students pursuing continuing education through accredited institutions, who are seeking careers in horticulture or in closely related fields of study. The candidate must have permanent residence within CO.

Business, Economics, and Public Policy

Business, Economics, and Public Policy Scholarship - NSHSS

The Foundation focuses on Public Policy majors in order to foster leadership in public policy analysis and public management to promote effective public policy decisions on national and international issues. Public policy incorporates social, economic and political components of government decision making. The scholarships support majors that educate students in the importance of the role of economic and political factors in public decision-making and policy formulation; microeconomic analysis of policy issues; resource allocation and decision modeling; cost/benefit analysis; statistical methods; and applications to specific public policy topics. 

Eligibility: The Foundation awards this scholarship to high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who are pursuing a degree in, or closely related to, one of the following disciplines:

  • Business/Business Administration
  • Finance/Economics
  • Public Policy

Art & Music

Dorian De Long Arts & Music Scholarship Application

The Dorian De Long Arts and Music Scholarship is awarded annually to one or more graduating Colorado high school students who plan on majoring or minoring in the arts (visual or performing) at a Colorado university/college/post-secondary institution. The scholarship is awarded in honor of Dorian De Long, a passionate educator and education activist who believed in the power of the arts to transform lives.

Amount: $1,500 - $2,500

Deadline: March 1, 2024.

AIGA Worldstudio Scholarships

AIGA Worldstudio Scholarships benefit minority and economically disadvantaged students who are studying photography, illustration, and design disciplines in colleges and universities in the United States. Scholarships are awarded annually to encourage social and environmental responsibility and cultural awareness in the next generation of artists and designers.

Our primary aims are to increase diversity in the creative professions, and to foster social and environmental responsibility in the artists, designers, and studios of tomorrow. Scholarship recipients are selected not only for their talent and their need, but also for their demonstrated commitment to giving back to the larger community through their work. Each scholarship is paid directly to the recipient’s school and applied toward tuition.

Rising Voices Awards

 

The Rising Voices Awards are a collaboration between seven youth literary magazines, as well as Humanity Rising. As the first event ever of its kind where an established team of youth arts organizations join hands with renowned guest authors to create something amazing, we are proud to present to you the first ever Rising Voices Awards: A writing contest for youth creatives aged 13-18, with $2,350 in prize money.

Humanity Rising is a youth-centered nonprofit focusing on giving young changemakers a voice. We are excited to announce that we will be working with them to create the Rise Up Writing Challenge, a scholarship for ONE writer who sends in the best work centered around anti-bullying. As a special division of The Rising Voices Awards, entrants can be considered for this division via the checking the indicated box on the submission form.

Submission Guidelines:

  • You must be 13-18 years old to submit.
  • Poetry: 3-100 lines per piece (up to 5 poems)
  • Critical Writing: 300-2,000 words per piece (up to 3 pieces)
  • Fiction: 300-2,000 words per piece (up to 3 pieces)
  • Entrants are allowed one submission per category. One submission is one google form entry, and includes up to a collection of pieces (see above). All submissions must be in DOCX, PDF, or txt. format. Previously published work is allowed, and so are simultaneous submissions. Civic Engagement & Social Justice

The Putska Scholarship

The Puksta Foundation promotes civic engagement among students at five of Colorado's top universities. How? By offering scholarships to students ready to get involved in causes on and beyond their campuses. Human rights. Impacts of music education on at-risk students. Get-out-the-votes efforts. If you've got a desire to make a difference in your community, you may qualify for a Puksta scholarship.

 
Eligibility:
  • Must graduate from a high school in Colorado
  • Must be Denver resident for at least 3 years prior to entering college
  • Have financial need of up to 2.5x pell grant eligibility
  • Have a passion and commitment to civic engagement and social justice
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Must be accepted to one of our partnering universities... (CU Boulder, DU, MSU, CSU and CU Denver)

This scholarship is renewable for four years, so long as the following expectations are met:

  • Maintain satisfactory progress towards a degree
  • Maintain full-time status
  • Devote an average of 4 hours per week to their Puksta community engagement projects
  • Attend all Puksta events, including monthly meetings, seminars, retreats and workshops
  • Satisfactorily complete all Puksta paperwork, reports, presentations and surveys

SME Education Foundation: Manufacturing & Engineering

Alvin & June Sabroff Manufacturing Engineering Scholarship

  • Must be seeking a Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, technology, or closely related field at an accredited public or private college or university in the United States or Canada.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Overall minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale.
  • First preference will be given to applicants who are planning to attend a college or university located in the state of Ohio.

Deadline: February 1, 2024

Autodesk Scholarship

  • Graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student.
  • Full-time student, majoring in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a closely related field, at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
  • Must have completed at least one PLTW class.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • The applicant can attend a two or four year school.

Arthur and Gladys Cervenka Scholarship

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student and have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours.
  • Enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing engineering/technology or a closely related field
  • Must possess an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Preference will be given, but not limited to, students attending colleges or universities in the state of Florida.
  • May submit a scholarship application in succeeding years.
  • Need is not a consideration in awarding scholarships except when two or more applicants have equal qualifications.

SME Chapter 77 - Denver Scholarship

  • Must be seeking an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a closely related field of study.
  • Applicants must possess an overall minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Consideration will be given to the following preferences: 
    • First preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are residents of the state of Colorado.
    • Second preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are seeking their education from a college or university in the state of Colorado.

Edward S. Roth Scholarship

  • Graduating high school senior, current full time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in manufacturing engineering in the United States.
  • Must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale United States citizen.
  • Preferences will be given to students demonstrating financial need, minority students and students participating in a Co-Op program.
  • Must be seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree in manufacturing engineering from the list of ABET accredited schools (see link for list of approved schools).

Clinton J. Helton Manufacturing Scholarship

Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing engineering or technology, or other closely related engineering discipline. Preference given to students attending Colorado State University or any of the University of Colorado campuses. Must have a 3.0+ GPA. Must have completed 30+ college credit hours.

Honda Excellence in Manufacturing

The Honda scholarship has been available to manufacturing students since 2012. The scholarship benefits students who are passionate to pursue a career in advanced manufacturing.

  • Must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend one of the Community Colleges listed below
  • A part or full-time undergraduate student currently enrolled in certificate or degree program in manufacturing engineering/manufacturing technology or a closely related engineering discipline and attending one on the following Community Colleges in the state of Ohio:
    • Rhodes State College 
    • Columbus State Community College (all campuses) 
    • Marion Technical College 
    • Edison Community College (all campuses) 
    • Sinclair Community College (all campuses) 
    • Clark State College (all campuses)
  • Must possess an overall minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Two reference letters are required and must be from a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) instructor. 
  • Students may submit a scholarship application in succeeding years. Need is not a consideration in awarding scholarships except when two or more applicants have equal qualifications.

Amount: $2,500 awarded to 12 students, max 2 students per institution.

Dr. Irving Pressley McPhail Endowed Scholarship 

The Dr. Irving Pressley McPhail Endowed Scholarship honors Dr. McPhail’s lifelong pursuit of higher education and championing the cause of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of society. 

  • Scholarship(s) must be awarded to a female or minority student
  • GPA: 2.5/4.0 scale
  • Applicants: Graduating high school senior, community college or undergraduate student
  • Major: manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering technology or a closely related engineering or technology discipline
  • Pursuing Associate, Bachelor’s degree
  • School: Attending accredited public or private, two- or four-year college/university located in the United States or Canada
  • Citizenship: United States or Canadian citizen, green card or student visa
  • Residency at time of application: United States or Canada
  • Full time or part time student

Elevations Foundation Trade School Scholarship

This scholarship is available for high school seniors attending an accredited high school who are applying for or have been accepted for admission to an accredited trade school.

 This scholarship is available for high school seniors attending an accredited high school who are applying for or have been accepted for admission to an accredited trade school.

Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Technical School Scholarship

RMMI is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the promotion of western mining through education. The Institute is proud to claim members from throughout the United States and Canada. Membership is diverse and includes individuals from both surface and underground mines, equipment manufacturers, service/supply firms, utilities, law firms, government, universities and colleges, financial institutions, and others interested in supporting the industry.

The Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Technical School Scholarship is a one-time gift to students in technical programs who hope to take their education into the mining industry, where there is a great demand for technical applications. 

  • High School seniors are eligible to apply. 
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a two-year technical or trade school program, in good standing, at the time of selection. 
  • Applicants must be a US citizen and reside in eligible states, and they must have an expressed interest in mining as a career path.

Amount: $1,000
