Join CYL at Johnson Habitat Park: Clean up our local parks!
Join us for a fun, hands-on volunteer day as we work together to beautify Johnson Habitat Park! From trash pick-up to park restoration, your efforts will directly support our mission to protect and enhance the South Platte River and surrounding green spaces.
Event Highlights:
Clean-up areas will include Johnson Habitat Park, Vanderbilt Park, and the nearby bike path.
Depending on river conditions, in-stream clean-up may be part of the day!
Families welcome — we’ll have kid-friendly crafts and activities available inside SPREE HQ.
We may also offer additional projects like invasive species removal or indoor clean-up.
Schedule:
10:00–10:15 AM: Arrival, sign-in, waivers, welcome from Ryan Aids, Executive Director (SPREE HQ)
10:15–10:35 AM: Learn about The Greenway Foundation’s impact
10:35–11:00 AM: Guided tour of Johnson Habitat Park
11:00–11:20 AM: Snack break + group photo
11:20–11:30 AM: Safety briefing and materials distribution
11:30–12:50 PM: Park and trail clean-up
12:50–1:00 PM: Wrap-up, thank you, and return of materials
