Join our Learn to Ski Trip!
**THIS TRIP IS FOR HIGH SCHOOLERS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN HOW TO SKI.**
If you are already a skier or snowboarder, consider joining our Serve on the Slopes ski trips.
Join CYL as we partner with SOS Outreach to host a learn-to ski and leadership trip!
Your Unique Leadership
Trying something new is hard! Signing up for a trip like this is the first step and already demonstrates strong leadership. Student leaders should demonstrate the ability to be respectful of others, open-minded in their views, and courageous in their ability to step outside of their comfort zone. You may fall skiing and that’s ok! You are joined by staff and other high school students who have limited skiing experience so you are all in it together!
Trip Fees
Fees for this trip are $75 and include:
- Transportation to and from Beaver Creek Resort
- All meals and snacks
- Lodging in Vail indoor space (you will need a sleeping bag and pad/air mattress or let us know if you need to borrow gear)
- Single-day ski lift ticket at Vail Resorts for day of action(valued at $200)
- Ski rentals
- Warm gear rental should you need it, including ski goggles
- Leadership development programming

** A note about lodging **
We are staying in Edwards, close to the Beaver Creek Resort, at Trinity Church. We are not a religiously affiliated organization, and this space is great for large groups. As it is a group space, there are no showers on site or physical beds. However there are some couches for sleeping, a kitchen to cook our meals and lots of space for lounging and playing games. It's recommended to bring a sleeping bag or blankets and a sleeping pad. If you need gear for sleeping, please let us know by contacting Hayley!
