Forest Bathe + Serve at the Arsenal
June 26th, 9am - 12:30pm
Join CYL at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge to plant willow trees along the creek, remove invasive species, and try some forest bathing!
What is Forest Bathing? Forest bathing is like taking a relaxing nature shower for your mind and body. It’s about immersing yourself in the peacefulness of nature—listening to the rustling leaves, feeling the soft ground under your feet, and breathing in the fresh, clean air. It’s not just about being in nature but letting it recharge you, reducing stress, and boosting your mood.
We will also have some guest facilitators from Americas for Conservation and Love For Nature join to teach us about the art of forest bathing, as well as learning about Indigenous practices happening at the Arsenal to support the Bison population.
CYL's summer focus is mental health, so come hack your serotonin and get outside with us!
What to Expect:
We will meet at the Arsenal for a two-part event: First, we will support the Arsenal and the ecological environment by removing invasive plants from the area, and then, we will support ourselves by doing some forest bathing along First Creek Trail! Bring a friend with you, and come get outside with CYL!
