* CYL Service Adventure *
Seeds of Community: Garden Project and Shared Meal
An end of year, mental-health supporting, outdoor and fun community celebration hosted by CYL's Youth Advisory Board in partnership with the Northeast Denver Changemaker Chapter!
We will be partnering with Denver Urban Gardens to support the Cole Community Garden by helping support pathways and a garden clean up. After some collaborative hard work, we will sit down for a community meal, potluck style.
For Potluck Dishes
If you choose to bring something to share, we are looking for healthy snacks, desserts, and other sides. The main meal will be provided by Noodles and Company - thank you for your support!
Who should attend
You! This is a family friendly event, and CYL adults / siblings are encouraged to attend with the CYLer! If you are interested in learning more about CYL or the Youth Advisory Board, please attend! This event is open to incoming high school students as well! If you are signing up others outside of CYL, please make sure to register as a team! Contact Lauren for how to do this if you need support.
What to bring
- Full water bottle
- Layers to protect you from the sun
- Work gloves, if you have them
- Sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.
- A food item to share with others
- A great attitude
CYL will provide
- Water jug
- Work gloves
- Other food items to ensure we have enough for all!
- Meal supplies: plates, napkins, etc.
- Some special celebratory items!
Let's come together to do some good for the community and to step away from the stress of finals! This activity will leave you feeling accomplished, more connected, and unified with others in CYL.
