Want to get outside and make a difference in your community? Help get the grounds ready for BOEC to serve all summer long! When: Thursday, June 11th, project 10-1 pm, arrive by 9:45 am. Self transport to Breck. What: Help get the grounds ready for BOEC to serve all summer long! We need your help with: - Moving new and old wood and supplies to and from the work area and the Griffith Lodge - Cleaning up around the site - Assisting others with bigger construction projects - Cleaning up the garden beds, which have been neglected for the past few years - Organizing and cleaning the lodge to help our Course Director prepare, as our first program begins a day or two after - Repair and rebuild deck and pier What to bring: Work gloves, Water, sunscreen, snacks and lunch! Everyone will get a new CYL t shirt to wear at the project. Join us for an optional adventure afterwards: hiking in the area! Location TBD. More information to come! As the Impact in Action session of our May Leadership Circle, we will be attending an in-person service opportunity. SUPPORT YOUNG PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN THIS SPRING! Join Give5 Mile High and Florence Crittenton Family Services from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16! Florence Crittenton provides wrap-around services for teen moms and their children in the Denver metro area. There will be a mix of outdoor and indoor maintenance needs that we’ll be providing, including re-staining benches, cleaning & landscaping, switching out winter clothes in the “Baby Bucks” shop & more. Help prepare the campus for young moms and their kids! Join us for lunch at Chipotle after we serve at FloCrit! Parking & Transportation There is a parking lot on-site, as well as off-street parking is available nearby. Please allow extra time to find a space, as availability may be limited. To help reduce congestion and support sustainability, we encourage rideshare, carpooling, or public transit whenever possible.
