Who We Are

Established in 2018, MHR is a 501c(3) that was founded by two passionate women striving for positive change in the horse community. These two women wholeheartedly believe that collectively we can make the world a better place and that all equine lives are meaningful. What We Do

Mile High Rescue is a 501(c)3 facilitates a connection between horses and humans in trusting and loving relationships. We are committed to saving neglected and slaughter-bound equines while providing an atmosphere where both horse and rider can grow through training, rehabilitation, and education as we form forever homes for our rescues.

MHR improves horse (and human!) well-being for a positive and healthy future. We facilitate and host volunteer programing, equine clinics, horseback riding lessons, youth camps and shows, as well as educational outreach and events that promote mental wellness with strong futures and healthy communities. Additionally, we do our best to support the local economy and community as much as possible through give back efforts, hay banks and shared knowledge
