Who We Are
We provide tutoring to all communities regardless of background for $.99/hour to
bridge the growing educational gap caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We are a full-virtual service that strives to provide educational material and mentorship to students who are struggling in a variety of subjects. While we pride ourselves on our low cost, we know that not all families can afford our services, so our rate is only recommended! If a family cannot pay, our doors are still wide open! Our goal is to help as many students as we can in any way possible to encourage and empower them.
We have roles for:
o Tutoring
Set your hours and sit down in virtual meetings 1 on 1 with students
o Ideas and Research & Implementation Team
Participate in the generation and implementation of new ideas to expand the
scope of Tutors for Change
o Student Tutor Relations Representative
Work closely with onboarding tutors as well as pairing incoming students with
stand tutors.
o State Directors
Foster relationships at the state level to bring in students and tutors from all
communities
o Social Media Management
Create media and advertising that will lead to the growth of the organization
and reach of our services
o Educational Video Development
Create educational video content that can be displayed publicly in association
w/ tutors for change
As stated above the volunteer can be doing anything from research, to sit down tutoring, on-boarding tutors and matching students, calling and building statewide connections, to implementing projects that they have come up with and researched.
We typically operate during the school year. Fall and Springs, we do have students that
need summer help and that is also period of time we offer.
The obligation of time (session/ week, time of session, length of help [2 week-
Semester]) is all decided on between a tutor and student’s family
As stated above volunteers have the opportunity to work with a variety of teams with a variety
of activities from research, tutoring, video development, advertising, and much more.
There is no participation fee to Volunteer! Small student fees pay for any cost the organization
incurred due to background checks and screenings.
